The 'Restore' utility (QFRESTORE.EXE) is run outside of QuickFill and is used to restore QuickFill files from a backup zip file. This utility will unzip all database files and/or all report files, depending on your field selections, in the backup file specified. To restore individual files, you can use PKZip for Windows, WinZip, or any other compression software programs.
To run the external restore utility, select 'Restore' from the QuickFill menu in the Windows program list that you can reach by clicking on the Windows Start button.

Restore report files to the following directory
If you would like to restore your report files (including any bill, renewal, and label files that you may have backed up), check this box and then enter the name of the directory to which you would like to restore the files in the field below it. If you know the name of the directory, simply type it in the field along with the correct path. Otherwise click on “Browse” and select the appropriate path and directory.
Warning: duplicate file names
QuickFill creates report files with names like ReportName-nnn.QFRPT, where “ReportName” is the name of the report (such as, NewOrderHistory) and the “nnn” is a number. Each time a report is created, QuickFill searches for the first number in the range 001 to 250 that is not currently in use. As time goes by, and reports are printed, deleted, and then more reports are created, the same report file name may be assigned to several different reports. If you restore the report files without also restoring the database files make sure you have a backup copy of the current report files, because restoring the old report files will probably overwrite some of the more current report files.
When you are ready to run the restore, click on “OK.” If your zip file has been backed up onto multiple diskettes or other media, QuickFill will ask you to insert the last diskette. After this diskette is read, QuickFill will prompt you to insert the first diskette and then each additional diskette as the zip file is restored.
