Purge subscription history update

Use the subscription history purge to delete old subscription history records. These are the records that contain the narrative description of every transaction that was applied to a subscription, including orders, payments, adjustments, and address changes. The subscription history records are displayed on the order display 'Lookup' screen. Although this information is very useful when researching customer complaints, it is quite voluminous and is not used for any of the standard QuickFill reports.

You can decide to purge all of the subscription history records within a date range, and you can also selectively purge the records for only a single transaction type, address changes for example.

To run the subscription history purge, select 'Purge...' under the 'Updates' menu and then select 'History orders'.

Purge subscription history records for publication

Right click once in this field and select the code for the publication that the subscription history you want to purge belongs to.

Dated between ___and ___

Type the date range of the records to be purged. This field defaults so that QuickFill will purge subscription history records more than three years old.

Only purge history records for transaction type

Leave this blank and QuickFill will purge all subscription history records in the date range you specified. Alternatively, you can right click in this field once to select a transaction type, and QuickFill will delete only the subscription history records of that type.
