Tracking Code Definitions Report

Without a doubt the definition of a tracking code can be very complex. It may have up to five offers linked to it, and each offer may have up to three premiums attached. It may be connected to a marketing plan, list, package, or channel, and it may be linked to a special billing or renewal series that overrides the standard series for the publication.

Although it is not possible to display all of this information at once on the computer screen, the 'Tracking code definitions' report can help sort through the complexity.

Summary, Detailed

The summary listing shows one tracking code per line together with its description and the associated marketing plan, list, and publication codes. The detailed listing provides a more complete description of the tracking code, including the associated offers, using a format that shows one tracking code per page.

Include tracking codes with mail date range

Use this field if you would only like to report on tracking codes with a particular mailing date. The 'Date mailed' is defined on the 'Tracking codes' definition screen.

You may find it useful to keep the tracking code definitions in a binder together with the 'Marketing plan list' definition report. This will provide a handy reference to answer questions regarding the codes that have been used and the way that they were defined in the QuickFill database.
