Tracking code query

When you click "Find" on the 'Tracking codes' definition screen, the "Tracking code query" box will appear. If you enter information in the fields described below and then click "OK," the cursor will automatically jump to the tracking code you are looking for. This function takes away the need for having to scroll through your whole list of tracking codes in order to find a particular one.

You can enter information in as many of the fields below as you wish and the cursor will not jump to a tracking code unless the definition of the code meets all of the criteria entered. For example, let's say that you entered "QWK97" in the 'Marketing Plan' field, "FICTION" in the 'List' field, and "QWKFIL" in the 'Publication' field, and then click "OK." The cursor would not jump to a tracking code unless it was linked to the "QWK97" marketing plan, "FICTION" list, and "QWKFIL" publication.

Once you have clicked "OK" and QuickFill has located the first code that is linked to the plan, list, and/or publication specified or uses the tracking code specified, you can click "Find Again" to move to the next tracking code that meets the specified criteria.

Marketing Plan

If you type the code for a marketing plan in this field and then click "OK," the cursor will move to the first tracking code that is linked to this plan. To move to the second or subsequent tracking code(s) to which the plan code is linked, click "Find Again."

List

If you type the code for a marketing list in this field and then click "OK," the cursor will move to the first tracking code that is linked to this list. To move to the second or subsequent tracking code(s) to which the list is linked, click "Find Again."

Publication

If you type the code for a publication in this field and then click "OK," the cursor will move to the first tracking code that is linked to this publication. To move to the second or subsequent tracking code(s) to which the publication code is linked, click "Find Again."

Tracking Code

If you type a tracking code in this field and then click "OK," the cursor will move to that code.

Since different publications can use the same tracking code, you may also search for similar tracking codes by using wild cards. For example, if you would like to locate 1997 tracking codes and you have defined these codes so that they all begin with "97," you could enter "97*" in the 'Tracking Code' field. When you click "OK," the cursor will jump to the first tracking code that begins with "97." When you click "Find Again," the cursor will jump to the second tracking code that begins with "97," and so on.
